Just Let It Be…

The hardest part about permaculture is letting things grow where they grow

This is a picture of a snail. On either side of that snail is a Chocolate Mint and a Sunflower.   The Chocolate Mint was sown to become a ground cover on that specific walk way.  The Sunflower was sown  a meter away against our fence.  I blame birds for its location.

It took every ounce of energy not to pull out the Sunflower, and now the Chocolate Mint is doing better than ever.  Simply because the sunflower shades the mint during the sunniest part of the day.

Are our lives so structured that it takes so much effort to go against the grain?

Just let it grow and see what happens. The key is to watch and listen.
